 LDAP    stands for   Light  Weight   Directory Access Protocol .    This   help  you  access  directories    which   is    managed by the  MS active directory or  ApacheDS . Here  we  will  discuss   the   basic  of LDAP server.

Step2-   Basic  structure  of the  directory   is    here    tree  define the directory  arrangement in

Step 3 -     The  meanings  of the  code use in  LDAP server.

                           OU = Organisation  Unit .
                           CN = Common   Names.
                            uid=user id.
                            DN= Domian Component.
                          Other  Terms  use in   LDAP  are .
                         USERS -  all  users  of the   Domain
                        Domain admins -   Are  the users  who have every   access.
                        Administrator -  Administrator  are  also having all access and authority.
                         Groups -    These are the people  of  particular  types.

Remember  a   person   can  have membership  of multiple  groups.  A can by user defined by multiple properties  and  membership of  different groups. 


Step 4.   To  identify   a  particular  type of  user  can  understand by their membership and  properties. 

Step 5:- The  basics directory structure of LDAP  server ,   Microsoft Active Directory or Apache  AD  and others are same.
